Q: Where are you located?
| A: |
Bee Gee Rental is located on the southeast
corner of Brim and Newton roads. We are about 1/2 mile north of
the Wood County Fairgrounds, and just north of the Wall Street
Journal and the Wood County Humane Society. If you are driving
SR25, turn West at the last (from the south) or first (from the
north) stop light in town. There is a Burger King and the Woodland
Towne Center located at that corner. Click here
for a map, or get specific driving instructions from your location,
generated from MapQuest. |
Q: What are your hours?
| A: |
Monday thru Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. |
| |
Saturday: 7:30 to 5 p.m. |
| |
Closed Sundays and Holidays |
Q: Are you open on Sunday? Will you charge me even though
you're closed?
| A: |
We are not open on Sundays. Bee Gee Rental charges for all time
out. Some items, including party items, have a minimum two-day charge.
For all other items, if you rent it between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday,
it is a one-day rental charge as long as the item is returned between
7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Monday. |
Q: Do you have a drop-off location?
| A: |
No. We do not have a secure after-hours drop off location. Please
do not abandon equipment after hours as you will be responsible
for paying to replace it if is stolen and for this reason, after
hours drop off is never authorized. |
Q: Why rent?
| A: |
Renting is a cost-effective way to get your job done.
First, you do not have to purchase the equipment you need, saving
the up-front cost. Over time, that equipment will need serviced.
By renting that equipment, you save yourself additional service
and repair costs. Another reason to rent is that you save valuable
storage space at home. Why purchase something you will use only
a few times each year, and store it for the remainder of the year? |
Q: What is the difference between a tent and a canopy?
| A: |
Tents have sides, while canopies have tops, but
no sides. Tents require professional setup and installation and
those services are reflected in the rental rates. We rent canopies,
which can be easily set up by the customer. |
Q: Can I reserve a piece of equipment? How much does it cost?
| A: |
Can I reserve equipment
We are happy to help you plan your rental needs by reserving equipment.
A credit card may be required to reserve equipment due to a number
of factors including the increasing number of lost rentals due
to “no shows”. You will we be provided with a time
frame within which you may cancel without incurring any charges
depending on the type of equipment. If we have reserved rental
equipment for you, we have denied others the availability of that
equipment. Failure to cancel within the stated time limit will
result in charges to your credit card for the lost rental income
we were expecting from you or could have obtained from another
customer had we had the opportunity to do so. This policy is intended
be fair to you by helping you plan ahead and for us to avoid lost
rental opportunities. |
Q: What is "damage waiver"?
| A: |
All Rental rates are quoted with damage waiver of 7% for your
protection against charges for accidental damages up to $200. Damage
waiver may be declined before the rental is initiated. Please read
the rental contract for the complete damage waiver policy. If damage
waiver is declined, we reserve the right to charge an additional
deposit to cover any possible damages. |
Q: Can you fix my Wal-Mart/Home Depot/Sears/Lowes/K-Mart/Meijer/TSC
mower?
| A: |
Bee Gee Rental is a servicing dealer for Stihl, Simplicity,
Exmark, Derby, Snapper, and Mantis equipment, as well as for most
engine brands made. We can provide engine service for most models
and brands, however we decline to provide other service and repairs
for these brands because without the proficiency of service manuals,
parts lists and parts availability we can not provide efficient
and cost-effective service for you. That is why we feel that it
is important to invest in high quality products that are supported
by a servicing dealer to ensure quality repairs and service after
the sale. We do offer special-order aftermarket parts ordering through
a self-serve kiosk at our store to help you if you are unable to
acquire parts where you bought your equipment. We would be happy
to help you get your part, but we do not provide the repair with
these parts. |
Q: Why do your mowers cost more than the one at the big box
store down the road?
| A: |
There are many answers to this question:
Bee Gee Rental and Sales is a locally-owned business whose mission
is to sell only quality products for buyers who seek value through
product quality, performance, and longevity of service. When you
purchase outdoor power equipment at a discount or home improvement
store, you will undoubtedly pay less because they don’t carry
parts, they don’t have a mechanic on staff, and you may be
receiving it in a box or worse yet, you may receive a product that
was improperly assembled, not serviced and not ready to work. You
may buy a brand name at big box stores, but in may be a decal of
a well-known brand on a product that is manufactured by a different
company and is sold under many brand names, some at even lower prices
(*see example below). If you are not familiar with how and what
to compare and there is not a knowledgeable sales person to answer
your questions, you may end up with much less value than you paid
for, and the cost may be poor performance, limited life and inconvenient
down-time. Remember, you get what you pay for.
(* MTD manufactures products sold as: MTD, Yard Machine, Yardman,
White, Troy-bilt, Cub Cadet, Huskee sold at TSC, Toro Tractors and
More) |
Q: Why would I buy used rental equipment when I can buy a new
tool that does the same job for about the same price?
| A: |
When we purchase equipment for rental, we must
first determine that it is the best possible design, performing
and serviceable equipment we can purchase to ensure customer satisfaction.
As indicated above, there are all quality and price ranges of
equipment available, and good rental equipment costs much more
than those items normally found available for retail sale. We
know that much of our equipment will be used very hard. All of
our equipment is well-maintained and serviced between each rental,
so when you buy a used piece of commercial-grade equipment, it
may have more service life left in it than a new product. Good
used commercial equipment can save you money when compared to
moderate-quality new equipment.

Q: I tow my 5,000 pound boat with my car. Why won’t you
let me tow your 4500 pound Bobcat with my car?
| A: |
Safety and the impact it has on our insurance —
and consequently the rental rates — are very important to
us. You are our customer, and we want you to be safe. We are well
aware of what you might have done, and we understand you are proud
of your vehicle and what it can tow. But we can only be concerned
with what is a correct and safe application and whether it would
jeopardize your safety, the safety of the equipment and/or the safety
of others who share the road with you. We want to rent equipment
and we have no intention of forcing you to rent our equipment trailers
or requiring delivery at additional charges, but we are not so greedy
as to ignore safety for the sake of a rental. Due to our tow policy,
we have not had any tow-issue-related accidents, and in turn have
been able to keep our insurance costs down. That translates to cheaper
rental rates for you. We are not willing to compromise our insurance
because you are sure your vehicle can haul it. |
